2018 YES National Winner – Henderson High School
Henderson High School students have been awarded The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) Company of the Year for their business 'Volt Electrics'. The company was awarded $3000, as well as a $5000 scholarship for each company member to the Massey University Business School.
Over the past 10 months 4000 students across the country have created and run their own businesses right from conception through to production, marketing and sales. The one-year programme gives students an authentic learning experience that prepares them for life after schooling by teaching entrepreneurship and connecting them with the business community.

The YES journey
Year 12 and 13 students create their own unique product or service, form a YES business at the start of the school year, and take it to market. Throughout the year, they attend events that mirror the process start-up businesses go through – including developing business and marketing plans, receiving guidance and mentoring from business people, and presenting their ideas to a live audience at the Dragon’s Den events. Find out how you can get involved by volunteering as a YES mentor.
Auckland Business Chamber delivers YES across the Auckland region on behalf of the Young Enterprise Trust.
