Championing Auckland's Growth

The Auckland Business Chamber and Beca would like to invite you to a workshop that is focused on working together to address Auckland’s growth ambitions.

Our objective is not just to talk but to identify champions to lead collaborative action across the private and public sectors.

Our session will cover:
  • Acknowledge the Good
Central government, council and various agencies are increasingly working together to help meet Auckland’s growth challenges - the Auckland Transport Alignment Project is a great example of this.

The private sector is playing its part - with over 90 cranes on Auckland’s skyline. Is there scope for the public and private sector to combine resources to create even better outcomes?

  • Addressing congestion
The cost of congestion is $3b a year - what’s already being done to address this and what further options could be considered?

  • What is our next signature project?
Waterview made a difference and the light rail project has been announced, what should Auckland's next signature project be?

  • Will you be a champion?
We have many positive voices for change and a media that often believes that an occasional headline will deliver difference. Now is the right time for government and business to clearly identify a shared understanding of the key priorities for Auckland and the actions we need to take together to drive these forward.
