Frooze Balls began as a healthy treat created and sold in Jeremy's Dixon's popular, healthy, wholefood Revive Cafés in downtown Auckland. However the staff did not like continually rolling them and the food processors kept breaking down with all the work. Jeremy asked Phil Nilsson, a mad keen engineering man, if he could come up with an easier way to produce the balls. After a bit of tinkering, and realising there was a demand for the healthy treats, the two formed Alive Foods in 2008. Alive Foods believes in truly healthy food and is driven by a vision to provide tasty alternatives to unhealthy and highly processed snack foods.
