Extremis Leadership

Whether you’re the head of a firm, the head of a family or both, our current global economic crisis is putting pressure on leaders like never before. What should you do as a leader?

The Chamber invites you to share insights proven in crisis conditions and dangerous contexts from Colonel Tom Kolditz, in extremis leadership expert. He clarifies concepts like focusing outwards to learn, personal responsibility versus accountability, the impact of extreme threat on leaders and much more.

As Professor and Head of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Col. Kolditz will present examples of leadership qualities needed in high-risk situations. He’ll explain how these can benefit business owners and decision-makers, no matter the size of the company or industry.

The presentation will cover:

• Building teams that build leaders.

• Strengthening your own leadership by example.

• Key characteristics and principles of leading from the front.

• Instilling the qualities needed for extraordinary leadership in to everyday life.

Col. Kolditz is has served in an array of tactical command and technical staff assignments worldwide, and as a leadership and human resources policy analyst in the Pentagon.
