The New Zealand Chambers of Commerce & Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry to enhance investment and business opportunities between the two countries.

The MOU was signed by the Director of New Zealand Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Michael Barnett and the Secretary-General of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, HE Humaid Mohamed Ben Salem.

The high level delegation from UAE was accompanied by the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his visit to New Zealand last week.

Talks were focused on expanding bilateral trade, regional security issues and the UAE’s support for renewable energy initiatives in the Pacific.
