The China Business Leaders Forum is an Auckland Chamber lead initiative promoting and developing bilateral business-to-business relations between New Zealand and China.

In October 2008, New Zealand and China entered into an historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that gives New Zealand traders preferential access to this dynamic and rapidly growing market.

The China Business Leaders Forum is focused on helping you to take maximum advantage of this historic FTA.

The Forum supports emerging and established China traders by providing advice and support on key aspects of doing business with China.

The ASEAN Business Leaders Forum is an Auckland Chamber of Commerce platform established to help you capitalise on the preferential access that New Zealand traders have to countries in the ASEAN region.

The FTAs that New Zealand has in the region bring New Zealand businesses trading with ASEAN countries substantial benefits that include improved market access for goods and greater certainty and transparency for New Zealand service suppliers and investors looking to operate in the ASEAN markets.

These FTAs contain measures to improve business access and promote cooperation in a broad range of economic areas of mutual interest.

The mandate of the ASEAN Business Leaders Forum is to broaden and deepen the support available to ASEAN traders and service providers, and to provide a framework through which trade and investment linkages in the region can evolve and expand.

The India Business Leaders Forum is an Auckland Chamber lead initiative supporting New Zealand traders succeed in their business with India.

New Zealand Trade Minister Hon Tim Groser has commented that “A free trade agreement with India offers great promise for New Zealand businesses. India is already one of our fastest growing markets, with New Zealand exports having tripled over the last decade”. An FTA with India will give New Zealand companies preferential access to the Indian market.

The Taiwan Business Leaders Forum is a Chamber lead initiative that promotes and develops bilateral business-to-business relations between New Zealand and Taiwan.

Taiwan has a long history as a trading partner with New Zealand. It is also an important source of foreign investment. New Zealand accommodates a significant number of Taiwanese students annually and the country is an important tourism market for New Zealand.

The Forum regularly holds events in partnership with agencies, such as New Zealand Trade and Enterprise where you’ll hear from key stakeholders in the New Zealand-Taiwan business sector and have the opportunity to network with others with economic interests in the market. The Forum also represents your business interests to ensure that you are adequately represented when crucial decisions are being made.
