A one-day seminar introducing corporate governance, specifically for women, is being jointly organised by the EEO Trust and the Auckland Chamber of Commerce to provide essential guidance on what is required from company directors. There are limited places available at this seminar so it's important to register early.
This seminar is facilitated by The Boardroom Practice Ltd and will be presented by Janine Smith. Janine will cover:
- Governance Not Management - board purpose, function and roles
- Board Structure - board make-up, conflict of interest, board effectiveness and relationships
- Effective Board Practice - processes & protocols, monitoring and sub-committees
- Legal & Risk - companies & trusts, risk management
A workbook, light lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
